If you're on a budget and don't want a stroller that can double up as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels solid when you're navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as as jet-setters. This is thanks to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels, made of Hytrel elastomer that allows it to perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The frame's weight alone is just under a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is also machine washable at 30deg which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a single wheel stroller to a wagon just by flipping the handle, so parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to 5 years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities when you are on the move.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as some wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy however, it isn't able to bend like other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely after folding. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller single from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size which means it's light, compact single stroller when folded and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also has a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as cup holders for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our push and turn test it performed better than many of the other cheap strollers we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. Its sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us less than 3 minutes to assemble the Delta with a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It's missing some features that we consider essential for double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to take their child in and out. Despite being narrow, the pushchair handled the bumps of everyday life well and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to rotate which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we let them swivel and it performed well although it did seem slightly bumpier than other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers that jog. However, they also make a broad range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to use and folds up small enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we test, but the wheels are a rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain and it's also a breeze to lift even with two kids and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It has a number of notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat from parent to the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that takes the sting out of rough terrain. It was simple to push and our tester was able to maneuver the vehicle through tight streets.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't ideal - it's not as silent as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be set so that they face each other. They can also be positioned to face the parents. This will help reduce sibling disputes over who gets seated with dad and mom. It has a huge bottle holder, gear tray as well as snack trays and a change mat. It also has a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal stroller for parents who like to be active. It folds down compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
