If you're looking to save money and don't need a stroller single that doubles into a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to 'perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and six-month color pack form a stylish pushchair that is easy to look at with a subtle yet elegant design and a tasteful branding. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

It's also easy to add or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable at 30 degrees to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It could also be converted into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as large or deep as some wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long excursions or for napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored well in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions. This means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also offers an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a parent cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels, as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. However, it's missing certain essential features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features for a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry babies from birth to approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a seat and a carrycot in just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and a reversible car seat.

It's really easy to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the massive shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we let them swivel and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed a little bumpier than others in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is a household name for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is simple to fold and can fit into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It weighs more than other strollers we test, but since it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-made. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other pram hoods that get whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large, deep basket to hold a changing bag or plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to take a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents all over the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from infant's earliest days through. It has many standout features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the parent and the world, a large UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro, and can awaken napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can face one another or be turned around to face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling disputes over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder, snack trays and the ability to change mats. It also has a compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who love to be active. It's among the lightest running strollers you can buy for your child. It also comes with amazing safety features, including a 5-point harness as well as a safety wrist strap. It also has a twist hand brake that's different than the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is very comfortable and provides plenty of space to sit. However, the seat isn't as deep as those of other joggers (it's just about 10 inches") The storage bin is secured with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10lbs which is sufficient for most diaper bags.
