Toto was founded in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro, David Paich (who at the time were also famous studio players working with Boz Scaggs) and bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. The name comes from the Latin word which means "all inclusive," the group was intent on exploring every musical style.
